F.A.N.G (Street Fighter V)

I thought it was a good idea to post another newcomer today, F.A.N.G it is! Very odd character, at first when his trailer was released didn't know how I felt about him, but as time went on the more I started to like him... definitely a very interesting character from a design and gameplay point.

This was the first sprite which I resorted to the retrace method (draw the outlines first, then fill in the details), well at least in some parts of his sprite... it's actually not bad! I think I'll try this method from now on, it felt a lot less time consuming to complete this sprite

I wanted to do was to make his sprite stand out more, to do that I went for a more outlandish shading style instead of a more conventional one compared to the other characters. One instance is his face being darker because of the hat, I wanted to give him a more "sinister" look (something which I recall Capcom said about his character, and I feel it didn't work that great). The other being the shading of his sleeves, I wanted to give it a "wavy"  effect to the shading on them to give it a unique look.

The characters written on his outfit was by far the hardest part, soooo many details , other than that it was a pretty fun to make his sprite, he really is a solid newcomer to the SF universe
